We celebrated the Cinco de Mayo by reading a story, doing a 100 chart mystery picture, and eating chips and salsa! 

Ms. Judy brought in all different kinds of seeds for us to look at.  She talked about the life cycle of each plant and even let us touch them.  Each student got to take home their very own seed to plant!  Thank you Ms. Judy!!

We read "Jack and the Beanstalk" and now we are watching our own bean plants grow!  Check back soon to see how well they grow! 

We planted lima beans today!

We compared wet, sprouted lima beans to dry lima beans.

Today we took apart lima beans that had sprouted and talked about their different parts.  

We saw a desert tortoise!  Thank you Mr. Roger and Ms. Judy for sharing an informative and exciting presentation on animals and their habitats.  

We saw a scorpion from the desert habitat! 

We were able to look at the skeleton of a rattlesnake!  Check out all of those bones!

Mr. Roger and Ms. Judy brought a small freshwater habitat with cattails, water lilies, goldfish, algae, and a turtle.  

Our field trip to the Natural History Museum was so much fun!
