Today we talked about fall and created fall trees!
As we finish our domain on the human body, students have been learning about what foods are healthy and help them think better and grow stronger. Today we sorted foods into two groups: nutritious and not nutritious.
We have been learning about the human body. Today we learned about the circulatory system, which includes the heart and blood. Students had a chance to listen to each other's hearts using a stethoscope. They also got to look at the four chambers of the heart in a model heart.
Today was superhero day! We wore capes, created unique superhero logos, and talked about our super powers.
We pretended to be Emperor Penguin dads with eggs (tennis balls) and raced to see who the fastest penguin was!
We are waving good-bye to 1st Grade and saying hello to 2nd Grade!
We celebrated our last spelling words of 1st Grade by practicing for our test in shaving cream!

Most of our plants grew beautifully! If your student's plant did not grow, I sent home some extra seeds so that you can try again at home.
