Here's a sneak peek at one of the art pieces you will see at the Art Showcase next week.  We learned about Vincent van Gogh.  His painting, Irises, inspired our art pieces.  We also talked about symmetry and plant parts.
Today our art pieces focused on perspective.  We learned how to draw objects to look closer or farther away on paper.
Today we read stories about spring and made butterflies.  On the butterflies we wrote words that make us think of spring.
Here are some pictures from the last two dress up days of the Read-A-Thon!

Monday is the final reading log check-in day!  Please make sure your student brings their reading log to school on Monday.
Today we did an Art Trek lesson.  We learned about geometric and organic shapes, internal design, and lines.
Today was our first Read-A-Thon reading log check in day! Remember, dress up days are on Fridays when students turn in their reading logs. Check out our crazy socks!
Today we learned about Moctezuma the Second, emperor of the Aztec people.  He wore a headdress made of gold.  Students made their own headdresses today.
